Be kind to your body after birth

It wasn't until after baby #2 that I finally went to pelvic floor therapy. When I did, I was so grateful to have that time to spend on my physical recovery. The exercises were challenging but helped me to improve my posture, build strength. and confidence in my postpartum body.

Recommendations for easing into exercise after baby:

  1. Find a good pelvic floor therapist! In Brevard county, we are lucky enough to have several different providers that can meet your individual needs. Check out the links below for all the wonderful therapists:

2. Focus on gentle restorative exercise – getting outside for a short walk or around the house

3. Get medical clearance before starting more intense exercise

4. Make sure to tell your medical providers if you have pain or an increase in bleeding after exercising
